Goal-based therapy blocks — typically 6 sessions of 60 minutes each, weekly or fortnightly — building specific skills, developing strategies for sensory or motor challenges, and promoting confidence and independence. Parents are actively encouraged to stay and participate.
An OT visits the child in their natural learning environment to observe how they manage tasks in the classroom and playground. Assesses how motor, sensory, and organisational skills affect participation, learning, and social interaction in real time.
Understanding Sensory Needs Assessment (~1.5 hours) delivered by an experienced OT with postgraduate training in sensory integration. Suitable for children aged 3 years and above.
Joint assessment delivered by paediatrician and OT in one coordinated session, following DSM-5 and NICE best practice. For children aged 5-17 years.
60-90 minute comprehensive handwriting assessment for children experiencing written work difficulties, including letter formation, writing speed, legibility, and hand fatigue. Includes a concise written report. Note: this does not diagnose dyslexia or dysgraphia.
Every OT plan is shaped around your child's goals and everyday life. Sessions can take place in clinic or via telehealth, and provision can be tailored to meet Section F of an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
