Supporting Your Child with ADHD or Autism

A diagnosis is a starting point, not a destination. Our 90-minute parents-only session gives you the space, tools, and expert guidance to understand your child's needs and move forward with confidence.

Who This Session is For

This session is designed for parents and carers of children who have recently received — or are about to receive — a diagnosis of ADHD, Autism, or both. It's especially valuable when you find yourself thinking:

  • "We've got the diagnosis, but what do we actually do now?"
  • "I want to understand what's behind my child's behaviours, not just manage them."
  • "I need practical strategies I can use at home and share with school."
  • "I'd like to talk openly without worrying about my child being in the room."
Parents Only
This is an adults-only session. It gives you a protected hour and a half to ask every question, discuss every worry, and plan every next step without managing your child's needs at the same time.

What We Cover

Each session is tailored to your child and your family, but typically includes:

  • An explanation of what the diagnosis means — and what it doesn't mean
  • Understanding your child's unique profile of strengths and challenges
  • Practical, evidence-based strategies for home routines, transitions, and everyday challenges
  • How to talk to your child about their diagnosis in an age-appropriate way
  • Working effectively with schools, SENCOs, and other professionals
  • Signposting to additional resources, books, courses, and support groups
  • Time for your specific questions and concerns

What You Leave With

By the end of the session you will have:

  • A clearer understanding of your child's neurodevelopmental profile
  • A set of practical strategies you can start using immediately
  • Written recommendations and signposting to trusted resources
  • Greater confidence in advocating for your child at home and in school
