We bring our multidisciplinary assessment team to Guernsey several times each year, offering the same NICE-compliant ADHD and Autism assessments we provide in Oxfordshire — without families needing to travel to the mainland.
Our team visits the island four to five times a year to meet demand. Because clinic dates are scheduled around availability, we don't publish them in advance.

From our Guernsey base we provide multidisciplinary assessments, fully compliant with relevant NICE guidance, delivered by a paediatrician or child psychiatrist alongside a clinical psychologist or speech and language therapist.
Multidisciplinary assessment including cognitive assessment and the QbTest. Allow approximately 3 hours face-to-face.
Comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment informed by developmental history, clinical interviews, observation and recognised tools such as ADOS-2. Allow approximately 3.5 hours.
A single coordinated neurodevelopmental assessment covering both conditions. Allow up to 5 hours face-to-face.
60-minute ADHD medication consultations and 90-minute psychiatry reviews. We can accept consultations for individuals diagnosed elsewhere, subject to review of a comprehensive diagnostic report.

30-minute reviews, ordinarily delivered online from our UK clinic. Face-to-face follow-ups at the Guernsey clinic may be available subject to diary capacity.

Detailed verbal feedback is given on the day, usually to parents first, with results and a clear follow-up plan including advice about medication where appropriate.

The majority of our assessments are multidisciplinary, meaning two different professionals (a paediatrician and a psychologist) are involved in an in-depth formulation of your child's difficulties. All MDT assessments include a full cognitive assessment.

So that we can operate consistently with our UK services, we require full payment in advance to secure all Guernsey appointments. Families are then able to reclaim costs directly from their insurer where applicable. We recognise this may differ from how you are used to accessing healthcare services, and we appreciate your understanding.
As with our UK practice, invoices are addressed directly to the patient, as the contract for services is with the family and payment responsibility therefore sits with you. While many families are able to recover costs in full or in part from their insurer, this depends on individual policies.
We kindly ask that you confirm in advance that your insurer will cover the full assessment and appointment, rather than only specific elements of the service, as we are unable to separate or invoice for individual components.
If a trial of medication is agreed following assessment, a structured follow-up schedule ensures safety, effectiveness and dose optimisation.
An online follow-up appointment four to six weeks after starting medication.
A further review at three months to check progress and adjust where needed.
Thereafter, a six-monthly medication review in line with relevant NICE guidance and any applicable Shared Care agreement.
Island Health will provide prescriptions during titration. Throughout this period the effects of the medication and any potential side effects are closely monitored by Dr Cassie & Associates rather than by your GP, and the dosage adjusted as needed. You will be responsible for the cost of the medication during this time. Prices vary between pharmacies, so it may be worth comparing costs.
Medication reviews are conducted as 30-minute online appointments. Face-to-face follow-up appointments at our Guernsey clinic may be available subject to diary capacity but cannot be guaranteed.
We would recommend bringing refreshments with you, including hot drinks in flasks, snacks and lunch, as we are unfortunately unable to provide these facilities ourselves.
We kindly request that siblings do not accompany your child to their assessment unless supervised by a grandparent or another responsible adult. Waiting space is limited and this helps us keep the clinic comfortable for everyone.
